We can hardly believe the last month of the semester is already upon us! In a year with great uncertainty, we’re proud to have made it through the semester thus far at Auburn with our sisters by our side. As the last month of the semester slowly arrives, here are Panhellenic’s top 5 ways to spend it!
1. Enjoy the sunshine at the Auburn Campus Recreation Pool The moment we’ve all been waiting for is finally here! The Auburn Campus Recreation Pool has opened and is ready to be enjoyed! With a rock-climbing wall overhanging the pool, plenty of lounge chairs and lifeguards on-site, there’s hardly a better spot to enjoy the sunshine than right here on campus! Visit the campus recreation website for more information on hours of operation and events! 2. Spend time at the Davis Arboretum The Davis Arboretum is one of Auburn University’s best-kept secrets. At 13.5-acres, the botanic garden is one of the oldest and largest in the SEC. It serves as a plant museum and an outdoor classroom for both students at Auburn and elsewhere, demonstrating Alabama’s native plants and habitats. Free to the public and open sun-up to sun-down 365 days a year, the Arboretum is the perfect place to enjoy a Spring day! 3. Have a picnic lunch on Samford Lawn There’s nothing quite like having a picnic lunch with your closest friends on Samford Lawn. If you visit Samford Lawn during the daytime, you’re sure to find people hammocking, studying, throwing the football or spending time chatting with friends. You’ll be in good company if you bring a picnic blanket along with you and set up shop for a nice little snack. If you’re running low on time, skip packing your own meal 4. Visit Kiesel Park for a walk with friends On a nice spring day, Kiesel Park is the place to be! Known for its off-leash dog walking trail, Kiesel Park is the perfect place to go on a walk with your friends (furry or human!) to enjoy the weather and get a little bit of exercise. Kiesel Park is Auburn's largest park, with a pavilion, a garden, a pond and a walking trail with a distance of 2 1/4 miles. Open sun-up to sun-down, Kiesel Park is lovely any time of the day! 5. Finish your classes strong! As the semester comes to a close, one of the most important things to do in your last month of school is to finish the semester strong. Regardless of your major or year, finishing the semester strong will prepare you for your future both in college and your career. Don’t forget to study hard and seek help when you need to! Go the extra mile and finish the race, because at the end of the day, it will be so worth it!
