Today we will be featuring Rachel Strength, Vice President of Finances.
What was your previous involvement in Panhellenic?
Before serving on Panhellenic, I served on my chapter's executive board as Treasurer. Having that knowledge from working with my chapter has definitely helped me in my Panhellenic role!
Why did you apply for Panhellenic Exec?
I applied for Panhellenic Exec in order to further serve the Panhellenic community outside my chapter. I've had a great time getting to know so many fantastic Panhellenic women on our campus!
How would you describe the time commitment for your position?
Each week is a little different depending on what is happening within council. On an average week, I probably spend around 10-12 hours working for Panhellenic between Exec meetings, council, and generally working in the office.
What do the day-to-day responsibilities look like for this position?
I work on a regular basis with Panhellenic exec members, cabinet, and Greek Life staff in order to make sure Panhellenic is meeting its financial responsibilities. Some of these tasks include creating and updating the annual budget, keeping track of invoices and reimbursements, and working with vendors.
