To learn more about each role of Panhellenic Executive Board, this week we will be highlighting each of the women who have served on executive board for the 2018-2019 term.
Today we will be featuring Madison Wright, Administrative Vice President.
What was your previous involvement in Panhellenic? (How were you eligible for this)
I was on Panhellenic Cabinet and served as Director of Spiritual Life and then decided to apply for Exec. I loved serving on cabinet and wanted to continue to work with cabinet and Panhellenic!
Why did you apply for Panhellenic Exec?
I wanted to continue my involvement in Panhellenic and rather than choose one cabinet position to work with, I decided to apply for AVP because I would get to work with all the cabinet positions and continue to serve Panhellenic in a new way.
How would you describe the time commitment for your position?
We have weekly exec meetings for 1-2 hours, cabinet or council on Tuesdays at 5, and then 4 office hours in the GLO per week. Some weeks are definitely busier than others but it's a nice balance overall.
What do the day-to-day responsibilities look like for this position?
I communicate with each of the cabinet positions weekly on what updates they have in their positions. From there I work with them to assist in any way they need help or problem solve any issues that come up! I also keep our Exec in the loop with everything going on so we can effectively communicate all that is going on in Panhellenic to all of council.
Describe yourself in 3 words
optimistic, encouraging, compassionate
What has been your favorite part of being on exec this year?
I have loved getting to see in depth how Panhellenic works and getting to know all of the amazing women that make up our community throughout times like recruitment and the SEC & Friends conference in Oxford. It has really been the best year because of this opportunity and I am so thankful for Panhellenic and these friendships.
Thank you for serving Panhellenic, Madison!
