Every year, the Auburn University Panhellenic Council plans and facilitates Greek Sing: a choreographed dance competition among eighteen Panhellenic sororities. The event draws many participants, spectators, and sponsors not only because of the talent of the dancers, but also because of the heart and meaning behind the event.
All of the money raised from ticket sales, donations, t-shirt sales, sponsorships, benefit nights and other fundraising efforts is donated to Auburn-Opelika Habitat for Humanity at the end of the competition. Over the past few years, several homes in the Lee County area have been able to be built because of the continuous impact Greek Sing has been able to make.
Members from each chapter volunteer throughout the course of the Greek Sing season for “Habitat Days.” These days are set aside for students to go to work on homesites with the amazing leadership of the Habitat team. This is an impactful time of service that benefits not only families in our local communities, but members of the Greek community as well.
In addition to all other fundraising and volunteer efforts, Greek Sing raises money through donations via CrowdChange. We strongly encourage everyone to visit out CrowdChange page and read a little bit more about Greek Sing and the impact it is able to make each year.
For those who are able, we encourage you to donate through our CrowdChange portal or support the efforts of Greek Sing in any other way you feel called. With your help, we can continue to make a greater impact for Habitat for Humanity and for deserving families in the Lee County area.
