Gamma Phi Beta hosted Moonball on Sunday. This event was a 5 on 5 basketball tournament to raise money for Girls on the Run.
Moonball was held at the Auburn Recreation and Wellness Center, with 16 teams of 85 players total and overall around 300 people.
The event raised $10,000 for Girls on the Run, an organization that teaches young girls life skills through interactive lessons and running, with the goal of inspiring and motivating them while also building their confidence.
On April 19, Gamma Phi Beta hosted their first annual Crescent Cupcakes in their chapter room. Admission to the event was $5, which allowed you to get an unlimited amount of assorted cupcakes, cookies, baked goods, and refreshments.
The event supported Girls on the Run, a girls empowerment program and after-school program for elementary school aged girls. This organization combine fitness with lessons about confidence, relationship building, gratitude, compassion, optimism, and diversity.
Auburn University's chapter of Gamma Phi Beta supports the local Girls on the Run council in Montgomery, AL. This council is in 11 schools with over 170 girls.
Crescent Cupcakes was a huge success, raising $2,680 from ticket sales! Congratulations to the sisters of Gamma Phi Beta!
