In honor of 90 years of Panhellenic on Auburn University’s campus, each week Panhellenic will be spotlighting one chapter of our 18 sororities.

This week we will be featuring Alpha Omicron Pi.

Alpha Omicron Pi’s symbol is the sheaf of wheat, their colors are cardinal and white. Two years ago, Alpha Omicron Pi’s mascot was successfully changed to the panda two years ago. Their motto is “Inspire Ambition”. Alpha Omicron Pi was chartered on Auburn’s campus in 1946.

Alpha Omicron Pi hosts two philanthropy events every year in the fall and spring semesters.

Each Spring Alpha Omicron Pi hosts Run for Roses, a 5K around Auburn’s campus benefiting the Arthritis Foundation.

Alpha Omicron Pi also hosts Slice Out Arthritis, an all-you-can-eat dinner with pizza and desserts.

This past summer, Alpha Omicron Pi was awarded the Excellence in Ritual Excellence in fraternity and sorority relations, Excellence in Alumnae Relations, Excellence in Academic Achievement, Excellence in New Member Education, Excellence in Campus Involvement and the Ruby Level Chapter Award, which is the highest level a chapter of Alpha Omicron Pi can be.
