Caroline Shea and Sarah Benton, Director and Assistant Director of Auburn University Panhellenic, presented Auburn Opelika Habitat for Humanity with a +$50,000 check to sponsor building Habitat for Humanity homes in Auburn and Opelika. Pictured (L-R) are Aaron Friend, Tina Cook, Caroline Shea, Sarah Benton, Dan Mason, and Mark Grantham.

Each year Auburn Panhellenic members fundraise through an amazing talent competition known as Greek Sing. Sarah and Caroline led the hundreds of volunteers this year to exceed their goal of $50,000. These students also come out each spring and volunteer to work on our Habitat homes. This year hundreds of volunteers helped frame Auburn Opelika Habitat home #67 at 1419 Branch Street. Also, Auburn University Panhellenic is a major sponsor on Habitat home #68 at 211 Stevens Street, which is designed and built by Auburn University College of Architecture, Design and Construction and the McWhorter School of Building Science to a Zero Energy Ready Home Fortified  standard.

"Thank you Caroline and Sarah for your leadership and thank you Auburn University Panhellenic for your consistent support of this ministry. We are truly thankful for everything they have done to give back to this organization and for allowing us to continue to improve our community. Together we build homes, community, and hope."
